When Andrea was 6 years old she began gymnastics training in Hungary.  Then in 1986 she left home and headed to Budapest to start a scholarship in the Hungarian State Circus School.  Andrea spent 8 years there and started her performances as a flyer in two acts, Springboard and Aerial Cradle, with six other members in the "Hunor Junior Troupe".  Once the troupe had completed their scholarships they went on to perform at the Paris Circus Festival "Cirque du Demain" in 1993.  At the festival the Troupe won a special prize and so their career began...

Later in 1993 they started work in France with Cirque Arlette Gruss.  As with most troupes, the group split up after a while, but Andrea and her partner began a duo act  "Duo Sandor" and stayed with Cirque Arlette Gruss for a total of 3 years.  The Duo act was very successful and they traveled across Europe performing in some of the biggest circus shows.

In 1997 the "Duo Sandor" went to Blackpool Tower Circus in the United Kingdom.  Little did Andrea know, but her life was about to be turned upside down. After more than 7 years of performing as an Aerial Artist her career came to a sudden and tragic halt in 1997. During a performance Andrea was making her usual decent at the end of her act when she fell to her feet from10 meters. With her wrist broken, both ankles shattered and spine fractured, Andrea was hospitalised and for 11 days left in a critical condition, not knowing if she would ever walk again. During the next 3 years Andrea, not wanting to give up her life as a performer, began doing other acts while she was still over coming such a serious fall. Clowning around in Billy Smart's Circus and quick changing her costumes in the Taipan Circus in Singapore.

Andrea over came her fear of performing an aerial act again and began training the Aerial Hoop.  After 2 years in the USA and having the fantastic training facilities of Cirque du Soleil in Orlando she came back to Europe with her own new aerial act.  Andrea's act is always developing and forever changing with her own unique ideas of combining the hoop and tissue together. You will find Andrea performing in variety and circus shows all over the world!
